Hunger might look different than you think.
Student-founded and led serving Fairfield County, Connecticut.
Our Mission
Roundup4Good is a student founded and led not-for-profit built around a simple but powerful idea: bridging the gap between abundance and need. We connect companies that have surplus food—such as grocery stores, restaurants, or producers—with individuals and communities experiencing food insecurity. We think the power in who we are is rooted in the fact that we want to be part of a solution in a world where our generation is tired of hearing only about the problems. Our goal is rooted in reframing how we perceive hunger: helping folks realize it is not limited to a particular neighborhood or demographic. We seek to challenge assumptions and shine light on the hidden faces of food insecurity in unexpected places.
We connect students to their communities through compassionate action.
The Problem
Across our communities, families quietly struggle to put food on the table—even in areas of abundance. This hidden hunger goes unseen, tucked away in places where no one thinks to look. Meanwhile, grocery stores, restaurants, or even country clubs frequently have surplus food that goes to waste instead of feeding those who need it most.
How it works
The Solution
Roundup 4Good bridges this gap. By connecting food providers with students eager to serve, we create a simple, effective chain of impact. Students collect surplus food from grocery stores and other partners, then deliver it directly to local organizations and families experiencing food insecurity.
Why it Works
Students gain meaningful opportunities to give back, food providers reduce waste and demonstrate social responsibility, and families receive nourishment and dignity. Together, these connections transform excess into hope, proving that small acts, when linked, can create big change. The best part? Our students do not need to make long-term or fixed commitments. You have an hour next week or four hours on Tuesday? We’ll get you rounding up for good!
